UUNA TEK 3.0 Pen Plotter Multicolor Drawing Tutorial

Creating vibrant multicolor artwork with the UUNA TEK 3.0 Pen Plotter is easier than ever. Whether you're producing artistic illustrations, branding graphics, or automated pen-written projects, this step-by-step guide will show you how to separate colors in Inkscape, prepare layers correctly, and plot each color with precision. Follow the instructions below to achieve clean, professional multicolor plotting results.

1. Prepare a Colorful SVG File and Open It in Inkscape

Start by selecting or designing a multicolor SVG illustration. Open the file using Inkscape, which offers precise vector editing and full compatibility with UUNA TEK plotter extensions.

2. Create Color-Separated Layers in Inkscape

Since the UUNA TEK 3.0 pen plotter draws one pen color at a time, all strokes of the same color must be placed in the same layer.

Create five new layers: Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Black

Go to Layer > Layers and Objects

Add new layers as needed

Important: Layer names must start with a number for proper G-code processing.
